RPAC (Research Progress Assesment Committee)

Dr. Rajendra Kumar Dash obtained his Master’s in English with specialization in Linguistics and ELT from the century-old, renowned institute, now known as Ravenshaw University in First-Class-First and subsequently he received his M. Phil. and PhD degrees in English from the same institute. Dr Dash also holds an M. Sc from the University of Madras and a Certificate in Business English from Cambridge University, UK. Currently Prof. Dash is working as an Associate Professor and Chairman RPAC, in the Department of English at KLEF (popularly known as K L University). He has received training from IIT Kharagpur, British Council of India, and Infosys Ltd. An outstanding teacher of English, Dr Dash is also a recipient of the State Sadbhavana Award for his excellence in English Essay writing, organized by MHRD, India. Dr Dash has almost two decades of experience in teaching, writing, and editing during his service period in several autonomous colleges of Biju Patnaik University of Technology, Odisha; ICFAI University, Hyderabad; and KIIT University, Bhubaneswar. While several research papers published in national and international journals stand to his credit, one of his research papers has been prescribed in the Course Reading at Chapman University, California, USA. His book Communicative English for the 21st Century was prescribed as a Reference book for the MBA stream of Biju Patnaik University of Technology, Odisha. Dr Dash has received acclaim for his beautiful English translation of Dr Radhanath Ray’s CHILIKA, a classic of Odia Literature. His books, Interrogating Postmodernism (published in Germany) and Dan Brown’s The Da Vinci Code: An Alchemical Reading, are considered to be significant contributions to the field of literary criticism. The PHI has published Professional Dictionary of Spoken English and currently he is working on another project PhD in English: Research Methods, Tools, and Techniques. Besides being a Life Member of the Linguistic Society of India, Dr Dash is the Founder Secretary General of the India Ecolinguistics Association, affiliated to the International Ecolinguistics Association, UK.
