Industry Collaboration Labs

K L Deemed to be University established an excellence centre in computer networking. Initiation of computer networking is done by setting up a Cisco network Lab with the objective of training professionals as Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA).

CCNA is a world wide accepted certification program for networking professionals. K L Deemed to be University has now Cisco trained faculty to impart CCNA training in the Campus. The lab offering for the following modules:

CCNA Module – I Network fundamentals

CCNA Module – II Routing protocols and concepts

100 final year ECE and CSE students have been trained for CCNA . All the students passed the CCNA module – I test designed by CISCO from 2010-2011 onwards.

KLUniversity established IBM Industrial Collaboration Lab in the premises of KL University on 18th November 2009 inaugurated by Sri Himasnhu Goyal, Country Manager, IBM Academic Initiative & Developer works and Sri Koneru Satyanarayana, President, KLEF.

IBM – KLU Academic Initiative: Industrial Collaboration Lab is established with 60 computers in LAN with internet connectivity of bandwidth 48 MBPS in a cozy and professional environment in KLU campus. This centre is a unique platform to fine- tune IT skills of our students and to create numerous certified professionals with smart skills. The Software CoE is an offshoot of IBM's Academic Initiative which covers 2000 colleges and universities around India / South Asia and many more in the world. It is a global model committed to driving open standards-based IT skills. Under the initiative, IBM helps in creating an enabling environment by allowing access to IBM software, course materials, training, curriculum development and certification. IBM Software CoE is enabled to provide a platform for development of software skills for students.

KLU's IBM Industrial Collaboration Lab has been awarded best software center of excellence by IBM for the year 2011. Till date more than 1000 students have been certified on various IBM Technologies from 2009.

Microsoft Innovation Centre (MIC) was established in K L Deemed to be University in April 2009 with the objective of implementing simple, practical and innovative ideas as prototypes which may be adopted by industry to convert prototypes into a product. MIC is a collaborative effort between K L Deemed to be University and Microsoft. 

In 2009-10 K L Deemed to be University has generated about 100 ideas of which 12 have been selected for conversion into prototypes. Out of these 4 prototypes are now ready. They are

  1. Automated Prescription System
  2. SMS in Regional/ Foreign Languages
  3. Security Alert System using Mobile Unit
  4. Vehicle Tracking System

Innovative ideas have been converted by III B.Tech CSE students as prototype products in 2010-2011. They are

  1. Backup and recovery of Android mobile phone data: This application is very useful to have backup all the mobile data namely contacts, messages and image files. In case of loss of data, mobile user can recover above data easily.
  2. Parents tracking of Web sites visited by children : This application is very useful for parents to find out unwanted websites visited by their children and to take corrective action.
